Levapan has always had a great commitment to the country, that is why Guillermo Ponce de León, the founder of the company, created a school in 1959 to provide the children of the employees of the Tuluá plant with a high quality education. Thus giving a message about the importance of the same for the sustainable development of the municipality and the country, as well as the relevance of the commitment of private enterprise on social issues.
Growth of the Guillermo Ponce de León School
Since its foundation, it has grown little by little, initially there were 35 students and by 2013, the GPL School was in need of moving its facilities located in the Levapan Tuluá plant to a larger space. From this moment, the curriculum was extended to high school, thus meeting the needs of the community and the country.
