Nos especializamos en la producción y comercialización de levadura, extractos de levadura, potenciadores de sabor; materias primas para la industria de alimentos, panadería y repostería, productos de consumo masivo, gastronomía, agroindustria, proteínas vegetal y animal. Tenemos presencia en 10 países: Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Perú, Brasil, Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay, República Dominicana y Panamá. The company is built in Tuluá Valle del Cauca, which becomes a source of employment and progress for the region.
The Tuluá plant is expanded and the large fermenter that doubled production capacity is built and the first rotary drum is installed to produce dry yeast.
Exports to Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Curacao, Aruba, Trinidad and Tobago, Nigeria, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Sri Lanka begin. It also enters the Ecuadorian market with the brand Gel hada.
The yeast factory in the Dominican Republic is inaugurated, and exports to Haiti, Puerto Rico and Miami also begin.
In Ecuador, the La Reposterita brand is launched with a complete line of products for preparing desserts at home.
Panama launches to the market a unique innovation at the moment; flavored cornstarches, which become a leading product in the market.

The Ecuador plant receives ISO certification for product quality assurance.
The Tuluá plant receives ISO certification for product quality assurance.
A new plant specializing in dry products such as gelatines, micro pulverized sugar, baking powder, dessert base, puddings and Levacolsas flan opens in the city of Bogota.
Levapan acquires participation in the company Nutritec, located in Valle del Cauca, a company founded in 1997 and dedicated to nutrition technology, with it begins the development of products derived from functional yeasts, Celenio, Copper and zinc used in the creation of products for animal and vegetable food as well as the development of products for human consumption such as moisturizing drinks for athletes, nutritious compounds and energizers.
This same year the company Red Star del Perú was acquired with a wide portfolio of products, which for more than 50 years have been present through recognized brands such as Mac Pan ®, Star Pan ® and UF ®.

Peru consolidates under the name Levapan, leaving behind the name Red Star of Peru and joining the corporate vision of the Group Levapan.
with the aim of further strengthening the flavours, solutions and nutraceuticals business of the industrial division of Levapan, a new plant is put into operation in Tuluá dedicated to the development of yeast derivatives to create functional products such as Glucan.
In Peru the gelatine Gel 'Hada and in Brazil the San Jorge product line is launched, in both countries aimed at bakeries and restaurants.
